Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 in 1983) is an acclaimed American actress. Particularly, she was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother in Los Angeles. Though she struggled financially, her 2001 debut was as Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford, the character in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was forced to quit the show in order to pursue a acting career. She had appeared alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. In 2007, she appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two additional episodes, including the series final. In 2013, she appeared in Season 6 of Californication. She also appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win the Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the love story Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006, including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). The role she played in Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child earned her nomination for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress.
