Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing. However, she started more intense training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is a frequent soloist for private events and parties, performing traditional Latin American Music. She is passionate about singing, music and the arts keep her engaged in local projects for both an artist as well as a educator. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
